On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of School of Business administration (SBA) and the 30th anniversary of MBA education, SBA held a symposium on the work of SBA alumni on the morning of 12th April in the conference room 506 of Wenquan Building North. Yu Xiaopeng, Secretary of SBA, Wu Haitao, Dean of SBA and representatives of SBA's former leaders, former professors, class teachers and counsellors attended this symposium, which was presided over by Shi Junwei, Vice Dean of SBA.
At the beginning of the meeting, Vice Dean Shi Junwei introduced the preparatory work programme for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of SBA and the 30th anniversary of MBA education as well as the advancement of the related work to all the participating leaders and teacher representatives, hoping to better listen to their suggestions and opinions on the preparatory work for the celebration, to expand the influence of the 75th anniversary, and to strive for the all-around support to SBA from all walks of life in the society.
Dean Wu Haitao expressed his warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all the leaders and representatives of teachers for their presence. He pointed out that this year is the 75th anniversary of the founding of SBA and the 30th anniversary of MBA education, and SBA will hold a series of alumni celebration activities on 26th-27th October, and the purpose of holding this symposium is to hope that with the power of all the leaders and teachers here, we can widely gather the resources of alumni, and make a great plan for the development of SBA.
At the symposium, Prof Zhang Xinguo, was the first to speak. He recalled that he had grown up with SBA and made progress together, and was very pleased with the rapid development and remarkable achievements of SBA in recent years. Professor Hu Lijun and Professor Zhang Jianmin, who have served as leaders and department heads of SBA, spoke freely, recalling the friendship with alumni and putting forward many valuable suggestions on talent training, discipline construction, social service and alumni work.
At the end of the symposium, Secretary Yu Xiaopeng made a concluding speech. He said in his speech that he was touched to hear the heartfelt feelings of the former leaders and teachers of SBA. SBA will fully absorb and summarise the views and suggestions of the representatives and implement them into the specific work. He sincerely hope that all the former leaders and teachers will pay attention to and support the construction and development of SBA as always.
