On the afternoon of April 7th, 2024, the School of Business Administration (SBA) held a grand mobilization meeting for the joint accreditation of AMBA&BGA in the conference room 506 of Wenquan North. Prof. Wu Haitao, Dean of SBA and Director of MBA Education Center, Secretary of SBA Yu Xiaopeng, Prof. Wen Hao, Vice Dean and Deputy Director of MBA Education Center, Prof. Fei Xianzheng, Hu Chuan, and Prof. Shi Junwei, Vice Dean, Vice Secretary of SBA Zhu Yanping, Associate Prof. Wu Yingna, Head of the Department of Economics and Trade and Director of the Office of International Accreditation, all the members of the MBA Center, the representatives of the teachers of the Marketing Department, all the teachers of SBA's international accreditation compliance team and all the members of the international accreditation office attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice Dean Fei Xianzheng.
Dean Wu Haitao delivered an enthusiastic speech at the beginning of the meeting and emphasized the far-reaching significance of this work for the long-term development of SBA. He mentioned that this joint accreditation is not only a comprehensive and in-depth test of the strength and level of SBA, but also a key step to promote SBA's disciplines towards internationalization and enhance international competitiveness.
Afterwards, Director Wu Yingna comprehensively introduced the overall work task arrangement of this AMBA&BGA joint accreditation. She outlined the overall objectives and main tasks, elaborated on the specific division of responsibilities of each department, and listed the key time nodes of each stage to ensure the smooth progress of the accreditation work.
After that, Vice Dean Wen Hao shared the journey of the past three AMBA accreditations with his rich experience. He emphasized that the leaders, teachers, students and alumni needed to have a thorough understanding of the accreditation standards. He also mentioned that the self evaluation report should not only provide a comprehensive response to the suggestions from the previous visit, but also highlight the innovative practices.
Finally, Secretary Yu Xiaopeng made a concluding speech. He profoundly elaborated the far-reaching significance of promoting international accreditation for realizing the connotative development of higher education, and clearly pointed out that successfully passing the joint accreditation of AMBA&BGA is not only the action goal of SBA, but also the deep expectation of students and the whole society for SBA.
The 2024 AMBA&BGA Joint Accreditation Mobilization Conference of SBA is not only an important meeting to gather consensus and clarify the direction, but also a brand-new starting point to stimulate people to move forward and show their strength. All the faculty and staff of SBA will make concerted efforts, ensure that every link is rigorous and meticulous, and that every task is put into place, strive to successfully pass AMBA&BGA joint accreditation with excellent results.
