Recently, the results of the 2023 Popularization and Rural Revitalization National Summer Social Practice Volunteer Service Activity for Undergraduates were announced, and the social practice team of the School of Business Administration (SBA) was awarded the title of Excellent Team.
The praised team was guided by Liu Zhenxing, a counselor of the Student Work Office of SBA, and the main body of undergraduates of SBA in the class of 2022. The practice team went into the ethnic areas of Urumqi, Yili, and Kashgar in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and investigated the popularization of Putonghua in the field by means of questionnaires and on-site interviews in the schools, communities, shopping areas, and attractions.
The practice team went into the township elementary school of Yuchi Korik 5 villages in Pakeqi Township, Shache County, Kashgar Region, and told the students the history of Putonghua, the methods of learning Putonghua in an easy-to-understand way, and encouraged them to speak more Putonghua and standardized Putonghua. In order to achieve better results, the team members used multimedia to teach, and inserted fun games into the teaching to make it entertaining and to fully mobilize the children's enthusiasm.
With the joint efforts of teachers and students, the Border Popularization Campaign achieved good results and was reported by China Youth Daily and other central media, and praised by the relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Education and the Youth League Central Committee.
SBA has always adhered to the fundamental task of cultivating people with moral integrity, attached great importance to the overall development and growth of students, continuously strengthened the ideological and political leadership, gave full play to the second classroom function of educating people, educated and guided the majority of young people to consolidate the foundation of their professionalism and enhance their mission. In order to enhance the mission and responsibility, students will grow up to be the youth of the new era who can take the responsibility of national rejuvenation, and realize their ideals of life by building their career in the places where the motherland needs them.
