On April 8, 2023, the on-site evaluation of the Third Hubei Provincial Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers, guided by Hubei Provincial Department of Education and sponsored by Hubei Association of Higher Education, came to a successful conclusion in Huazhong Agricultural University, the host of this event. After the selection and recommendation by universities, expert network review, on-site evaluation, and validation by Hubei Association of Higher Education, the winners of the Third Hubei Provincial Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers were announced by Hubei Association of Higher Education on April tenth. The course Human Resources Management (HRM) taught by Doctor Lu Qing from the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) won the second prize in the Intermediate and Lower Level Group, which was another important achievement since HRM of ZUEL was awarded as a national first-class undergraduate major construction institution.
It is known that the Teaching Innovation Contest for College Teachers is one of the competitions included by the Ministry of Education in the Review and Competition List of the Ministry of Education, and it is the sole event relevant to teaching competition for college teachers in the List, which is of authority and targeted. Led by the construction concept of “New Engineering, New Agriculture, New Medicine and New Liberal Arts”, the Contest promotes the innovative development combining information technology and education and guides college teachers to devote themselves to teaching and educating, which builds a vane for college teaching reform.
After the contest, the faculty of HRM will summarize the results of the contest in time and strengthen post-contest reflection and promotion of the results to advance the full transformation and application of the results. In this way, the contest will continue to play the role of promoting teaching, learning, research, construction, evaluation and innovation, and contribute to the cultivation of high-quality personnel of HRM and the construction of the national first-class undergraduate program.
