The Female Leadership Quality Improvement Training Camp of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law is designed to build an education platform featuring innovation and independent career for female college students. And it aims to improve their professional development and quality through theoretical and practical training. Thus, in the morning of May 20, 2022, Li Fang, deputy Party secretary of the CPC the School of Business Administration committee, Wu Yingna, chair of International Accreditation Office, Wang Yanming, the manger of MBA Education Center and Alumni Service and Vocational Development Office and Liu Xiaojia and Yang Siqi, the teachers of the Office of Students Affair led the first batch of students of the camp to Noach Wealth Management Company Wuhan Branch for a visit and discussion.
Gao Yang, chief operating officer of Noach Wealth Management Company Wuhan Branch shared female leadership in the company to all participants. The company’s statistics shows that there are 62% of female employees, 37% of female executives, 33% of female directors and 57% of female association leaders, which offers a window on its commitment to female development and female role models. Gao also shared the company’s efforts and social responsibility during the COVID-19 pandemic. She said it is necessary to seek and seize opportunities and retain skilled professionals. Then, Li Fang introduced the foundation and current development of the Research Center for Female Leadership and Student Career Development of ZUEL and the Female Leadership Quality Improvement Training Camp. She encouraged female college students to work with excellent enterprises and fostered their competitiveness in the society, capability for working and innovation and leadership as part of their efforts to achieve sustainable development for women.
Chen Si, an excellent alumna of ZUEL studying in 2004 and the general manager of Noah Wealth Company Wuhan Branch, highly praised the establishment of the research center. From her own experience, she pointed out that standing firm on your decisions and recognizing your ability are indispensable for female leadership. She also told us that we need to understand ourselves in daily life and refuse to be judged by others. She inspired college students to see the bigger world and give back to the society through volunteer activities. And then, Jing Li, the outstanding employee of the company shared her experience in study and work life. She told her experience of working while preparing for CAF, encouraged us to set goals and strive to achieve them. In the complex world, there is a need to keep independent thinking, study from practice, communicate with others from all walks of life, enrich experience and broaden horizons. According to her experience of studying abroad, she said anyone shouldn’t be restricted by gender. At last, Wu Yingna draw a conclusion from her own experience and used two words(definition and self) to summarize today’s topic, hoping that we can find ourselves without being easily defined.
