At 9:30 a.m. on April 22, a symposium was held in the Conference Room 407, Wenquan North Building, joined by the School of Business Administration (SBA) of ZUEL and the Business School of Wuchang University of Technology (BSWUT), in order to further deepen the cooperation and exchanges between the Universities, enhance the friendship between the Schools, and promote the high-quality development of the Schools. The symposium was attended by a delegation of 6 leaders from the BSWUT, including Gui Xuewen, Dean of the BSWUT, He Xiaojuan, Associate Dean of the BSWUT, Zhan Zhan, Chair of the Accreditation Office, Xu Yanling, Chair of the Department of International Trade, Deng Wei, Chair of the Department of Business Management, and Li Zongyun, Chair of the Department of Marketing, and 6 leaders from the SBA of ZUEL, including Fei Xianzheng, Associate Dean of the SBA, Zhao Chenhui, Chair of the Department of Human Resources Management, Wu Yingna, Chair of International Accreditation Office, Wan Hua, Vice Chair of the Department of Business Management and Chen Ke from International Accreditation Office. The symposium was presided over by Fei Xianzheng, Associate Dean of the SBA.
At the start of the symposium, the two parties respectively introduced the leaders who attended the symposium. Associate Dean Fei first extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the BSWUT. He gave a comprehensive introduction to the historical development, faculty, discipline development, talent cultivation, scientific research, and social services of the SBA, emphasizing on sharing that the SBA has been striving to become a “Four Have” Business School in recent years, that is, a business school with a profound historical background, solid foundation, distinctive characteristics and a lofty educational vision. The lofty educational vision of the School is to become a first-class business school integrating economics, law and management. Passing international accreditation can not only comprehensively improve the internationalization level of the School’s disciplines, but also the School’s management system and capabilities. Later, Gui Xuewen, Dean of the BSWUT, introduced the basic information of the BSWUT, such as its historical evolution, specialties, and faculty, and focused on the problems in exploring the AACSB Accreditation and the research purpose of this visit. During the communication, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on AACSB Accreditation, the building of faculty and discipline, scientific research, and specialties. Associate Dean Fei also stressed on the School’s “14th Five-Year Plan” Development Plan and the development of AACSB Accreditation.
This symposium established a sound cooperation and communication mechanism between the two Schools, deepened the cooperation and exchanges between the Universities, enhanced the friendship between the Schools, and promoted the two sides to better grasp the development strategy and the development trend of business education.
