Dean of SBA Gave A Keynote Speech on the Chinese AMBA & BGA Member Business Schools 2022 New Year Webinar

At 8:00 pm of December 31, 2021, AMBA & BGA member schools in China rang out the Old New and rang in the New Year, holding the “Member Business Schools 2022 New Year Webinar Theme: Continuous Development and Capacity Building” via cloud services. Hosted by Professor Wang Zhongming, senior professor of liberal arts of Zhejiang University and council of International Silk Road Entrepreneurship Educational Alliance, this cloud forum attracted leaders and relevant representatives from nearly 100 AMBA & BGA member schools.


Professor Xi Youmin, Vice-Chancellor of Xi’an Jiaotong-liverpool University and vice President of University of Liverpool, gave a keynote speech on Business Education in the Era of Digital Intelligence, in which he shared his outlook on the future development of business administration education from the aspects of ecological management, industry integration, industry-preneur development and mind upgrading. He proposed that the new responsibility of business administration education is to help people to live more rationally in the era of digital intelligence through research, to reconstruct peoples minds and to help them live more realistically. Then, Zeng Yong, President of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Wei Jiang, Dean of School of Management Zhejiang University, Zhu Fangwei, Dean of DUT School of Economics and Mangement and Dean of China Management Case-sharing Center, Hai Wen, Dean of Peking University HSBC Business School, Li Jianfa, Dean of School of Management Xiamen University, Zhangli, Dean of School of Economics and Management Beijing Jiaotong University and Qian Xuefeng, Dean of School of Business Administration shared their views on the frontiers of business administration education, talent training, business cases teaching and sharing, development model exploring of business schools and international exchange and cooperation respectively.


Qian Xuefeng, Dean of School of Business Administration, made a keynote speech themed on the “Chinese AMBA & BGA Member Business Schools 2022 New Year Webinar Theme: Continuous Development and Capacity Building”. Revolving around “Four in One”, “Educating Five Domains Simultaneously”, and “Four Upholding”, Dean Qian elaborated on the exploration and practice of School of Business Administration in new business subject program systems. He pointed out that School of Business Administration should realize its capacity building through “four-in-one” (namely integration of representative majors, systematic approach to mainstream education, innovative platforms and practical projects), achieve full coverage of “moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor education” in college’s whole teaching process. Sticking to the fundamental status of morality education, basic objective of high-quality development, fundamental approach of internationalization, and fundamental mission of responsibility education, School of Business Administration can all-dimensionally and comprehensively build a talent development model featuring deep integration of economics, law, and management.


At last, Professor Wang Zhongming gave a summative speech, pointing out that sustainable development has been a new strategy for business subject construction. He provided an in-depth interpretation based on the digital transformation and green development conference, green digital upgraded into digital economics, inclusion of sustainable development into vision of School of Business Administration, responsibility and sustainable development becoming an indispensable link, green management module and demonstration curriculum series, sustainable development case competition and seminar, SREEN top 100 cases of global green sustainable development, etc. Other than that, Professor Wang thought that international accreditation has gradually become an organizational strategy for domestic business schools to seek high-quality internationalization. Thereby, he hoped that domestic business schools should regard AMBA & BGA international accreditation as an important opportunity to enhance their capacity building, thus developing themselves into high-quality and high-standard international business colleges with a high starting point.
